FAQs

I’m 30, I have a newborn and a 90 year old grandma, can you really see all of us?

ABSOLUTELY!

As a Autonomous Family Nurse Practitioner, (meaning I don’t need a supervising physician, another question I get asked alot) I am licensed to independently care for patients from newborn through the oldest senior adult.

FYI- The oldest patient I ever cared for was 103 years old, but I am always on the look-out for my newest oldest patient.

What is your stance on pharmaceuticals?

We firmly believe that GOD created the human body with an innate ability to self-regulate and heal. Too often the overuse of pharmaceuticals has created a toxic environment within our bodies and has impaired the body’s ability to heal as it was designed to. To that end we seek to find the root cause for disease states, and seek to correct those issues using dietary guidance, vitamin/mineral supplementation, and/or homeopathy.

We feel that there is a time and space for prescription medications but in general they are utilized in moderation and as part of a comprehensive treatment plan aimed at correcting nutritional imbalances, healing the gut, clearing infectious processes and reducing inflammation.

Sometimes we may recommend a prescription medication immediately, if it means keeping you or your loved one out of the hospital.

Because of our commitment to seeing people free from addiction, effective January 1, 2024- We will no longer be prescribing DEA Schedule II narcotics or controlled substances.

Can you admit me to the hospital if needed and see me there?

Because of the large geographic area we cover it would not be possible to get credentialed at every hospital. While my priority is keeping you well and out of the hospital, sometimes it is necessary. When those times come I will ensure that your medical record is available to the hospital and encourage you to give them my contact info so I can help coordinate your care and see you quickly when you discharged back home.

Do you take insurance?

Great question- we are currently taking new Tricare, and traditional Medicare patients. All other insurances we are still considered out of network for.

What is the best way to move forward?

For those who have insurance plans that we are out-of-network with, we are not able to bill insurance for your visits. The cost of your visit will be due at time of service and you will be billed our self-pay discounted rate. We will however, be happy to provide you with the documentation you will need to send to your insurance company to file the claim for direct reimbursement for your visit (if your insurance company allows for that, and most do thankfully!)

Related to labs, imaging and prescriptions- currently we are able to submit these to your insurance without issue.

If you do not have insurance, know that we work with our local vendors to ensure the lowest rates possible for our patients.

Self-pay discounted rates (each visit)

New Patient $100.00

Established patient $80.00

Tele-visit $50.00

After-hours calls/texts resulting in new prescriptions or change in treatment plan $25.00 per occurrence.

For families of 3 or more who are self-pay, we offer an additional 20% discount off all visits excluding tele-visits and after hour fees.

Same Day Cancellations/ NO SHOW Fee has now been increased to $65.00 per occurrence. Greater than 2 occurrences may result in dismissal from the practice.
